Ashlee Simpson allegedly depressed over Melrose Place firing

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Ashlee Simpson is taking her firing from Melrose Place badly, and it may be affecting her already slim frame. As we reported several months ago, many are wondering if Ashlee is already too thin. Sources say her recent job loss may be exacerbating an existing problem.

“Close friends and associates of both Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby Pete Wentz are dishing a lot of dirt. The singer and actress reportedly is so deeply depressed about her firing from ”Melrose Place,” she’s virtually lost her appetite and is beginning to drop ”a serious amount of weight — and she’s thin to begin with,” says a North Shore family friend.”

Also, the article alleges that her firing did come as a shock to the actress-singer, as she thought ”she was in fine shape with the producers.”

The loss of a job can have a significant effect on anyone, so it would not surprise me if this is actually true. For her and her family’s sake, I hope she is handling it well and not letting it affect her health.
