Oh, please. There’s obviously a glitch with this video where the sound is ahead of the video. It happens a lot on YouTube.

In her defense (about the infamous SNL performance) many, many performers use a backing vocal track to bolster their vocals. It’s particularly helpful for them when they get out of breath from all that jumping and dancing around.

she’s not lip syncing! like nerf said, there’s a glitch in the video. she sounds totally live.

I’m not a huges fan of ashlee simpson but i don’t think she is playbacking here ( lip syncing, whatever you want to call it) so that’s an honest opinion of an outsider;)
