Ashlee Simpson’s “Little Miss Obsessive” With Lyrics

When Ashlee Simpson came out with Bittersweet World in April, she said it was a fun album with some booty shaking music. Yet one of the first songs she debuted was “Little Miss Obsessive.”
If you just listen to the song, you don’t really catch how funny it really is. It has a “serious melody” and is different from the hard driving 80s vibe that many other songs on the album have. But trust me, when you listen to the song along with the lyrics, it’s clear Ashlee is making a joke about that kind of love that doesn’t always end cleanly. You know how when someone breaks up with you, and you know it’s for the best but you just can’t deal with the fact that it’s ended yet. You try and tell yourself it’s not happening, so you ask them to come over or even pop over by them.
I think everyone has had at least one relationship end this way. Love sometimes isn’t as clear cut as it should be.
I found a video that has the lyrics to the song along with the melody. If you haven’t done it yet, take a listen to the song along with the words. It’ll make you appreciate Ashlee’s sense of humor even more!
