Jessica Simpson: Bad Sexy?
I caught an interesting post over at Entertainment Weekly that compared Jessica Simpson’s “Come on Over” video to Sugarland’s “All I Want To Do“.
In the post, they talked about “bad sexy” versus “good sexy,” and Jess, unfortunately, was on the bad sexy side. The reporter said in the Sugarland video, the girl is in a bikini but having a blast, and isn’t trying so hard to be sexy. She just is.
But Jessica Simpson was described as “bad sexy” because she WAS trying so hard. The reporter goes on to say, “Those well-lit shots of her in the bed of a pickup truck could be straight out of a Playboy video. I’d love to see her try to sell her vocals and not her legs.”

I tend to agree that the bathtub, kitchen sink AND truck bed scenes might have been a bit much. Perhaps one of those? There can only be so many of those before it starts to take attention away from the song itself.
What do you think? Is Jessica “bad sexy,” “good sexy,” “just right”, or not sexy. What’s your opinion?

I agree with the bad sexy. She just tries way too hard to be cute. It’s annoying already!

Jessica: Do you think she’s just sexy naturally or does she lay it on too much?
I’m wondering if she wore a normal outfit (instead of a shirt with no pants on like in some of the scenes) if she would still come across this way. In other words, is it the way she dresses? Or is it more?

Don’t agree! I love this video it expresses what the song is about. Come on over, can’t wait. Very sexy! You have to be dead not to feel it.

Why do you tend to always ut up the negative articles about Jess? I am really just wondering…
I never saw any good review, any great quote any great quote other people had about Jess.
Sexy/ beautiful is just a matter of opinion. And to each their own. we think what we think. For most Jess is sexy has hell. Just check most of the sites - hollywoodtune, etc - who do talk about that sort of thing..

It would just make so must bloody sense. I like readding different opinions. I myself don’t agree with All that Jess does. But I don’t see you as a fan who critics somethings Jess does. you critic EVERYTHING she does…
I have come to the conclusion that most of the people that came her are ASH fans and dont much care abpout Jess. They have a point.
I am also staring to believe I shouldn’t come to this site. As a jess fan, I don’t feel I belong here

Brrbach: I think Jess is naturally sexy. But she pushes it further than she needs to, by being too nutty, you know what I mean. The over dramatics we’ve talked about before.
The girl is gorgeous, but she needs to tone it down a little bit. Even if she did gain all this weight she supposedly did (I don’t see it), she is a beautiful girl. Certain clothes she wears & her overdramatics make her a bad sexy.

Jessica: Yes, that makes sense. That’s what I believe, too. She’s so pretty, why slither around and wear the stuff she wears? She could stand there and sing, and be more subtle, and be so much more sexy.

Ritovskyta: I write about both the good and the bad for both sisters. I’m not going to hide the bad stuff just because you’re sensitive to it. I think we’re all adults and can talk about the negative stuff as well as the positive.
