Jessica Simpson Video: I’ll Never Go Back to Pop Music Again
Jessica Simpson vowed to the crowds during Country Thunder last weekend that she’d never go back to pop music again. (We have it on tape, people!) She rambled a bit, talking about when she forgot the words to her own song (which were also written on a cue card) and how happy she was to be back on stage.
You can tell she’s very nervous but her rendition of “Come on Over” was well received.

5 opinions for Jessica Simpson Video: I’ll Never Go Back to Pop Music Again

Actually, I hope she will keep some kind of pop in her music. Like come on over, or shania twain, If she goes deep country I would have some trouble enjoying that. I love carrie underwood voice ( that’s why I say there’s place for both) but some of her songs have just to damn lyrics…And the meanning is just to dramatic for my taste.
Any how, I guess Jess is hurt with this pop world. It will fade. I don’t know if she ever was really POP…Britney is pop. Jessica always were more than a pretty face on dance tracks that get in your ear, makes you addicted for 3 weeks and then are all gone from your life. I also don’t think of c.aguilera as pop…

Ritovskyta: I hear ya. I think is she wants to keep her fan base she’ll have to do exactly what you said. If she gets into country too much, she might gain new fans but lose her old fans. It’s a balance act.

Pffft. I somehow don’t think she can keep away from pop. In my opinion, she still sounds poppish. She may classify her album and any follow-ups as country, but the sound is not country in my opinion.

MK: Yeah, I’m not sure how she’s really gonna pull this off. She might be one of those artists that is classified as country but really sounds pop. Like Shania Twain. Jewel has also gone country now but then Jewel also sounded countrylike to me.
We’ll see……..
