Jessica Simpson Wows Another Pair of Country DJs

Jessica Simpson did tons of interviews while at Country Music Fest a few weeks ago, and here’s another one with Wank and O’Brien from 97.1 Hank FM.
The DJ kind of admits when he’s interviewing her that he didn’t want to like her song, but heard it before he knew whose it was. Quite a back-handed compliment, but Jessica has to know that she’s going to hear things like that before she’s totally accepted into country music.
Jess does a good job of name dropping while doing the interview (Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash) but the DJ of course HAS to mention Carrie Underwood as someone that has “crossed over” from country to pop. Carrie won American Idol, and they groomed her for pop. Not exactly the same thing. Jessica even pauses a second before answering his question after that.
I have to say, that has to stink! It’s gotta be hard to answer questions like this. In fact, at one point in the interview Jessica talks about being in the media spotlight and admits that she doesn’t know if she’ll be with Tony or not.
She also talks about Ashlee’s baby and her becomming an aunt. All in all, I think it was a great interview, and will only help her as she moves forward to country music. Take a listen:
Seems like everyone is impressed with her new single. Good for her. I like how she doesn’t seem as love crazy with Tony anymore. It was scary for a while how obsessed she seemed/
Yeah, I think she learned from talking too much about Nick that it can be a relationship killer. (Especially after she blabbed about Tony in the Glamour interview.)
It actually makes me feel sorry for her. Because she doesn’t seem to know what’s going on in their relationship ever.
