Rumor has it that Papa Joe Simpson had more than a little to do with getting his daughter Jessica Simpson together with Dallas Cowboys Quarter Back Tony Romo.

Did Jessica Simpson’s father, Joe Simpson, hook up the pop star and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo?

It appears Joe was the middle man who helped Romo land a date with Jessica, according to a report the New York Post.

“Joe and Tony have been friendly for a while. Joe is a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, and Tony has always had a crush on her — he even said on his Web site like a year ago that it was his dream to date her,” a source close to Jessica told the New York Post.  Read the rest here
