I am really digging this outfit. Very muted, yet comfortable, yet still uber-stylish. And her new hair color works so well with the ensemble!

I wonder where Ash is heading off to sans Pete and baby Bronx Mowgli. Perhaps to New York City to begin rehearsals for her upcoming role in Chicago? Her outfit does seem to be made for cooler weather, so perhaps she is making her way over to the East coast. But I still don’t understand how her new hair color will work when she takes over as Roxie, the blonde bombshell murderess.

A toy truck, that is!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and her rocker hubby Pete Wentz, with their adorable son Bronx Mowgli, were seen exiting a CVS Pharmacy in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, November 12. But it seems they hit more than just the pharmacy, leaving with a huge toy truck that I am assuming is for Bronx.

It seems to have been confirmed that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will be appearing as Roxie Hart in the hit Broadway show Chicago. According to a recent report from Access Hollywood, her run will start in December and will last for six weeks.

In order to celebrate her transition from the small screen to the big stage, we will be giving away one DVD of the movie version of Chicago, starring Renee Zellwegger as blonde bombshell turned murderess Roxie Hart and Catherine Zeta-Jones as sultry jazz crooner Velma Kelly. The film also stars Richard Gere, John C. Reilly and Queen Latifah. It came out in 2002 and won an astounding six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Now is a great time to get yourself familiar with the musical before Ashlee inhabits the role!

We reported yesterday that Jessica Simpson is being worked to the bone by her personal trainer Mike Alexander. Well now it looks like Jess is being worked to the bone not by her personal trainer, but by her lifelong friend as well.

According to a recent Tweet from Jess, she has known Mike (@madfit) since the 8th grade. She said:

I couldn’t help but to laugh at the title of this article on E! Online: “Out With a Bang.”

Because if the information in the article is correct, then Ashlee Simpson and Colin Egglesfield will seriously be leaving Melrose “with a bang.”

Egglesfield told the Web site about a sex scene the two have filmed for an upcoming episode of Melrose:

“It involves us both wearing half-loin cloths that they had to tape to us. There are very few clothes involved in the near future.”

He also said of Ashlee’s willingness to perform such saucy scenes:

“She’s up for anything.”

I think Pete agrees.

This is the question that has been on the minds of many a Simpson fan lately. After Ashlee Simpson’s character Violet gets written off Melrose Place, will you still be watching?

Personally, I will NOT be watching the show after she and Colin Egglesfield get written off. However, it is not only because they got the boot. I am not too keen about the new direction the producers want to take the show in. When asked about the tonal shift, producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer said:

Can you elaborate on the tonal shift?
SLAVKIN: Now that the characters are no longer suspects, they can have a great time, they can focus on their careers, they can get into bed with each other without having this ominous cloud hanging over the building… But this is still Melrose Place. There’s still going to be intrigue on the show.

Do you think viewers were turned off by the dark nature of the show?
SWIMMER: Who knows why the ratings aren’t better? I think for us, it’s just a matter of moving on in the direction we [always] wanted to go.

In my opinion, cutting out the dark undertone of the show is only going to make it more similar to the tons of shows about attractive 20-somethings already on the air. Heck, it might just start to seem like the post-high school happenings of the 90210 cast, considering it is on right after that.

I am curious to see how Violet and Auggie will be written out, and it seems like that storyline is already on the fast forward. Apparently next week, Auggie will finally succumb to Violet’s womanly whiles. I have a feeling that this duo will have something to do with Sydney’s murder, but how?

But the real question is, knowing what you know, will you still be watching Melrose Place after Ashlee and Colin are off and thr tone becomes lighter? Let me know in the comments!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has gone full circle through the spectrum of hair colors in the past year. From light blonde to blood red to her current color of raven black, there is nothing that she won’t try and nothing that she won’t look great in.

She debuted her new color yesterday while exiting a medical building in Beverly Hills, California. She complimented her new hair color with dark wash denim and a too-cute-for-words black and white striped top.

As we mentioned a few days ago, hubby Pete Wentz told E! Online that Ash dyed her hair for an upcoming role. However, it can’t possibly be for Chicago, as Roxie Hart is a blonde. Or perhaps they’re taking it in another direction?

I have a personal theory that this is a big F-U to Melrose Place. Though Ash has always experimented with red hair, it was necessary for her role as Violet because Sydney had red hair as well. I also recall reading that she frequently had to have her hair re-dyed because of how bright of a red it had to be, so maybe this is meant to be a statement to the producers.

This may seem to be irrelevant news, but I had to post it: Jessica Simpson is a fan of Showtime hits Dexter and Californication and ABC’s Brothers & Sisters.

This news excited me because I am a HUGE fan of the show Dexter and I was happy to find out that Jess watches it as well! Now I know we’d have at least something to talk about if we ever met.

However, she seems to think that her liking Californication, a show primarily about sex, would somehow affect the public’s opinion of her. I disagree. In fact, it heightens my opinion of her! Many people seem to think she is stupid, or a dumb blonde of some sort, but all of those shows are shows typically liked by people of higher intelligence.

About 13 hours ago, Jess Tweeted about Sunday’s game between the Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles (20-16) :

“Can’t forget the Cowboys!Great game yesterday.My pink jersey was nowhere insight;) I was screaming at my parents tv in dallas gear tough ”

Jess is of course referring to the infamous pink #9 Cowboys jersey she was seen wearing in pics on days the Cowboys lost games.

A few minutes later, Jess then Tweeted:

Jess is referring to ex Romo, as he is #9 on the team.

Kudos to Jess for being so amicable with her ex. If what they say is true, and he really broke up with her the day before her birthday, then she is being incredibly mature by continuing to be friendly towards him. Despite what many (including Cowboys‘ fans) think about Jess, she has definitely chosen to take the high road in the media and stay quiet about the details of her personal life. If someone had did that to me, I don’t think I would be cheering for their sports team! But that’s just me.
