Jennifer Love Hewitt has a lot in common with Jessica Simpson. The two have both been in the show business industry since they were kids, they both can act and sing, and they both have been criticized for their weight.

Now, it appears that they will have something else in common: country music. Apparently Jennifer wants to be a country music artist. This is a dream she’s had for awhile. And she can sing. Remember that short-lived pop career she had about ten years ago? I’m sure if Jessica had any advice for her, it’s to let the comments roll off your back and just keep doing what you love.

Ashlee Simpson’s dad, manager Joe Simpson, has denied publicly that Ashlee is pregnant.

But do we really believe him? At this point, I DON’T think she is either, but considering how Papa Joe, Pete Wentz, and Ashlee denied it last time she was pregnant, I doubt we can take their word for it. He did, however, congratulate Ashlee and Pete on their one-year wedding anniversary via Twitter. He said, “One year ago today… My baby got married!! Congrats Ash and Pete.”

Ashlee Simpson was looking totally adorable last night at the T-Mobile Sidekick LX Launch Party held at Paramount Studios, Hollywood. Check out this gorgeous black lacy dress! The heels are to die for too. Looks like her and Pete Wentz had some nice bonding time together at the event.

Of course, with Ashlee and Jessica there is always rumors swelling around… the latest one is that Ashlee is pregnant again. You think?

Looks like Eminem really does have a heart! (Was there any doubt?) He says he debated whether to parody Jessica Simpson in his video “We Made You.” Part of the reason he hesitated was because Tony Romo is one of his favorite quarterbacks.

But Eminem says he wants his music videos to be like little time capsules. When you look at them you think, “I remember when that was going on.” He wants each to reflect what’s happening at that moment in pop culture. At the time he was doing the video, Jessica was getting all kinds of attention for being “fat.” So there you have it.

Tony Romo, for the last several years, has tried to make it into the U.S Open. He’s a good golfer, to be sure, but he hasn’t made it. It shouldn’t be a surprise that he hasn’t made it this year, either. However, I found one source that thinks he shouldn’t even be trying out.

They say he’s getting paid millions to quarterback the Dallas Cowboys. His focus should be on that. Not on golf, Jessica, or Cabo. Some of the dates of the U.S. Open would actually interfere with the Cowboys practice schedule, so why even bother trying then? Focus on what you’re getting paid to do.

I have to agree with this. Especially because it seems that Tony hasn’t been able to focus enough when it comes to post-season play. I can’t fault a guy for wanting to try new things, but given the short amount of time most players are in the NFL, couldn’t the golf wait until he’s done?

A lot of people are buzzing about Jessica Simpson’s photo shoot and interview with Vanity Fair, but I think the best take on it so far is from The Tennessean, who defines it more as a chance to silence critics than anything else. Despite all the talk of Jessica’s “failures” in love and career, she seems to tell people that it just doesn’t matter. She feels good about her life and where she is.

I think this is incredibly healthy and something we can all learn from. If it’s one thing the Simpson sisters are able to do, it’s get back and try again when something didn’t work out the first time.

Caught this close up with Ashlee and Bronx and had to share with you guys. How CUTE is this baby? At this point I think he looks a lot like Pete. But that could change daily at his age! I also like the fact that Ashlee is still rocking her own style while doing the mommy thing. She’s a natural at it.

Jessica Lucas, who stars with Ashlee Simpson in the new Melrose Place, spilled the beans (if you can call it that) about Ashlee’s new character on the show.

“She plays… well we have all been living at Melrose Place for a while and she comes in and discovers something very mysterious and you think that she’s one way and she actually turns out to be another, that’s all I can say, haha.”
