Papa Joe Simpson Horns in On Cowboy’s Training Camp
August 3, 2008 by Cherie
Now, this is the kind of stuff that makes me shake my head at Papa Joe Simpson. I think he’s a good manager. I think he really does have his daughter’s best interests at heart. I also think he sometimes gets a bad rap about things that happen that aren’t his fault.
But last week he showed up at Cowboy’s Training Camp, and all I can say is: WHY?
After all, HE’s not such great pals with Tony Romo (as he claims) that he would go there and hang with his pal. Even if he is, showing his face over there clearly brings attention to himself and Jessica. And for her sake, wouldn’t he stay away?
To make things worse, he had to blab to a reporter about Jessica, saying, “She’s coming to the games this year, so you better get ready.” Again - turning the focus of the team to Jessica is why fans started to get snarly with her to begin with. In fact, I don’t even think Jessica could visit Tony at camp because as any self-respecting football fan will tell you, players need to focus. They don’t need distractions. Did the Simpson clan learn nothing by last year’s Cabo trip?
