Jessica Simpson is starting a country career and has a new single that is getting a lot of attention. But is it good? Will it help make Jessica a country star?

I think its ok, I think it might do ok on the charts but not outstanding and she could possibly crossover to country.

However, I think her career has benefited from who she has dated lately and that has maintained her status in the public eye.

Can’t say I am really fond of it, although it does have all the basic country song staples - big guitars, mention of blue jeans, and a very strong southern drawl in the lyrics. Do I think it will be a hit, probably because it is a simple song. And she is already a star.
I actually didn’t think it was her, in the beginning. When she started singing faster, it did remind me of other of Jessica’s songs. To answer specifically -

If you think it will help make Jessica a country music star - I do not think she will ever be a Carrie Underwood, but she might be able to hold onto this song for awhile, so that it can climb the charts!
