Here’s something we knew would come eventually: Nick Lachey And Vanessa Minnillo have broken up. They both seem like cool peeps, but Jess‘ ex jumped a little too fast into their relationship, wouldn’t you agree?

I think Nick needed a little more time after Jessica to be on his own before starting up a relationship. But I’m the two of them will move on to greener pastures, just like Jess has done with Tony!

Well, I always thought this thing with Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo was basically a rebound thing. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they broke up. Granted, they’ve been together a long time… but still.

But then I caught this post that said Nick is blaming Vanessa because his career is in the toilet. Does that just make you laugh or what? I mean, isn’t that what he said about Jessica Simpson?

Personally, I love Nick to pieces. I think he has an amazing voice but for whatever reason just hasn’t found his niche since leaving the boy group. I think he’ll do okay. But if he really believes the women in his life are to blame for his career, that’s just goofy.

I’ve hesitated writing about the whole John Mayer/Jennifer Aniston thing until now, but my gosh what a breakup/makeup mess!

Jessica has to be glad that she’s done with that weird “I love you,” “No wait, I can’t do a relationship” saga. Her and Tony might have broken up a few times in the beginning, but it’s been nothing like this mess.

In case you haven’t heard, Jennifer has now broken up with John because he apparently “went cold” after the Oscars. You remember the Oscars, where they were all lovey dovey and announcing their relationship to the world (finally)?

Anywho, every time I see these two I think of Jessica. She’s gotta be loving her life right now since she’s moved on from John. What do you think?

I suppose you’ve heard by now, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have broken up. USA reports that since the two of them were together, the “heat index” (which tracks how interested people are in celebrities) has risen quite a bit. It seems everyone wants Jennifer to be happy and find her Mr. Right.

Looks like Mr. Mayer is not said Mr. Right.

The reasons for the break up are all over the map. Some say they agreed to a “trial seperation” (which to me is a fancy way of saying breakup), other says she dumped him, while still another group he dumped her.

A few people speculate that it might be the talk of marriage and babies (Jen is, after all 39) and that John couldn’t commit while others say he had a few flings and cheated on Jen.

Oh, who to believe in this crazy Hollywood land!

And remember when Jen supposedly found those love letters from Jessica Simpson that John had kept? Maybe that had something to do with it as well.

It all started with her pictures from Country Music Fest. Sure, she looked gorgeous, but it looked as if Jessica Simpson had put on a few pounds, especially in the area of her face.

Then, I caught these photos of her over the weekend while walking around New York City:

It clearly looks as if she is hiding something underneath that big ole shirt.

But then I caught this article that talked about Jess’s overeating due to the stress of dating Tony Romo. They’re back together, then apart, then together, and back apart….. it’s bound to drive a girl to the candy counter!

The source says, “When things with Tony got rocky, Jess just went on a sweets binge.”

They also say she’s added 15 pounds to her frame and is desperately trying to lose it.

Well here’s our advice, Jess. Don’t starve yourself or lose the weight because of Tony. Do it for you, girl!

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are apparently still trying to work things out. As we told ya, they had dinner together and seemed to be playing nice after Ashlee’s wedding (and after the two had a little time apart).

We also told ya that Joe Simpson’s constant meddling seemed to drive the two lovebirds apart. It’s not enough that he’s also “hanging around” but now is apparently giving unwanted advice to Tony.

Well Jessica’s back now from the trip to Cabo, and all seems as if she never left. After all, there’s a new rumor that she was cheating on Tony Romo with Jared Leto (which Jared denies), and now there’s a speculation that Jess and Tony are getting back together. Or that they were never really apart. Or that they were apart because they took a short break after a rough patch.

Yeah…. aren’t you glad this isn’t YOUR love life?

Still Dallas columnist Alan Peppard (who, if you’ll remember first confirmed their break up) is now saying they were spotted having dinner together since Jess has been back in the states.

Peppard says that after the big Ashlee and Pete shindig, “Tony headed back to Texas for the Colonial golf tourney while Jessica went to Cabo San Lucas with her parents.” (Thanks to Shelly for the link!)

The story goes on to say that Jess and Tony “shared a corner booth for two at N9NE Steakhouse in downtown Dallas’ Victory Park.”

Apparently the time apart did some good. (If you’re rooting for them to get back together. Or some bad if you’re not.)

Personally, I’ve seen enough of this Jess and Tony drama to see that these two kids are not right for each other. There has been too many break up to make ups. Too much Papa Joe meddling. Even if they ARE back together this time, it won’t be for long.

Alan Peppard from The Dallas Morning News has confirmed that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up. He says, “But after taking several oaths not to divulge my sources, two people close to Tony and Jess have told me that the glam couple is over, splitsville, kaput, put a fork in it.”

Again, I take this with a grain of salt, but Peppard IS at least a reputable source. I wonder if these “two people close to Tony and Jess” are actually Tony’s buddies. After all, he’s in Dallas and one of Tony’s buds has already talked to a reporter from a different magazine (even if he didn’t give any details).

Now what I wonder is this: Does Jessica even know this? Perhaps she’s reading the developments right along with the rest of us. Perhaps all she knows at this point is that Tony went out of town for a drunken boys weekend and that he called her and was hammered. It wouldn’t be a fun point in their relationship, but it’s a long way from actually breaking up.

And IF she doesn’t know, then Tony Romo is a real heel for not breaking up properly. Hey Tony, I’ve written an article on my dating site called “How to Break Up With Someone.” Maybe you should read it!

On to the other issue, if Tony DID break up with Jessica, that means she’s left just a few days before her sister’s wedding without a date. Ouch.

It’s the question of the day: Are Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo over?

Personally, I could go either way on this one. I haven’t, however, found any reputable reports to indicate one way or the other.

Here’s what I can tell you for sure. Tony was at a “boys weekend” in Chicago over the past weekend. Which was why we heard that horrible rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame from him. He went out and partied. He may or may not have hit on a few women, or a few women may or may not have hit on him. He supposedly called Jess and was a drunk obnoxious lout, but hey… that doesn’t mean he actually broke up with her.

The only confirmation I have (thus far) about a break up is some friend of Tony’s who reportedly talking to a reporter and said they broke up but that guys didn’t talk about that stuff so he didn’t have any details. Which means: NOT HELPFUL.

Jessica’s rep, meanwhile, has denied a break up. Again: NOT HELPFUL. (We all know reps tell what they’ve been told to tell.)

I think if you look at the timing of all this, with Jessica talking more openly about him (and expressing her love, saying she’d be open to marriage) that it may have scared Tony to where he needed a little space. These things happen in a relationship, and since they’ve been going out six months it seems like a good time for a major argument.

Jess was on Extra yesterday talking about him and having babies:

and that would imply that they are still together. But again… this isn’t for sure.

I’m hearing lots of reports that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are over. The problem is, none of these are reputable. I know many of you are wondering this, too, and several of you have even emailed me asking for more info.

All I know so far is that Tony and Jess are still together. Until I hear anything from a legitmiate source, that’s all I can say. Stay tuned!
