Well this isn’t really a surprise, but Pete Wentz has said in an interview that the birth of Bronx Mowgli was not planned.

SHOCK!

Kidding. I think we kinda knew that already, right? The marriage and baby thing happened so very quickly. Still, Pete and Ashlee are obviously great for each other and make one another happy, so it all turned out well.

Pete says, “I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in a cage.” He credits Ashlee with helping him put his wild days behind him. He also said when Heath Ledger died it really “opened his eyes.”

He says that he wants to be the best dad and husband he can. “I realized I’d found my soul mate and it made me want to be a better person.”

Fans of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are going crazy for the new bundle of joy, Bronx. There are so many videos out there now to help celebrate the blessed event of this new baby! Here are just a few.

We haven’t seen much of Ashlee Simpson lately, what with her expecting a new baby in a week (or month, depending on which report you believe.) But I couldn’t help posting a few tribute videos of her and Pete Wentz today. They really do inspire us when it comes to love, don’t they?

We get a fair amount of Pete Wentz fans that visit this blog. Some congratulate Ashlee and Pete, and some leave messages that Ashlee shouldn’t be with Pete. I see the attraction, Pete is a really handsome guy. Here’s a tribute with music by Fall Out Boy:

I never realized this before, but when you have kids it’s got to be tough to do things like pick out music for your record. After all, what if your kids hate what you do for a living? Pete Wentz said recently that when he started recording his new album with his band, Fall Out Boy, it brought “extra pressure because he wants his impending new arrival to like his songs.”

He joked that having his kid like his music was far more pressure than anything a record company could give him about it. He also addressed the question that he and Ashlee Simpson might do a duet together some day. Although, seriously people, how many times are people going to ask him this? He and Ashlee have already said a ba-jillion times that they aren’t going to sing together. (Although they also said Ash wasn’t pregnant and that it was a boy… then a girl… )

Pete said he and Ashlee try and “be sounding boards” for each other however. He added, “Besides, I think the last thing she’s thinking about right now is the new Fall Out Boy record!”

Love that Pete, don’t you?

I’m not sure I’ll believe any story about Ashlee Simpson’s baby until the kid is born! After all, first rumors said it was a girl, then they said she’s having boy, then folks said she was due at Halloween, and now Pete Wentz gave an interview where he said the baby is due “around Thanksgiving.”

What’s an Ashlee fan to believe? Also, Pete said they “know with 90% accuracy that it’s a boy.”

Yeah, yeah… we’ve heard that before.

If nothing else, all these rumors will make for an exciting baby delivery.

John Mayer is denying claims that he cheated on Jen Aniston. He said the two just weren’t right for each other. Says John:

“Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met.”

Very gracious. He said the same type of thing about Jessica Simpson. I like the fact the he just broke up with her because she was the wrong person. Too many times people stay together simply because they are afraid to be alone. Of course, it sounds like Jen already has someone new and John will probably have another girl in about five minutes, so how much time alone do these folks really have?

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were having a night out at Nobu in Malibu, when they saw some photogs coming and had to get out of the way. They didn’t do such a great job, though, as paparazzi were able to snap a bunch of pictures anyway.

Besides that, it must have been a very casual evening, take a look at how they’re dressed.

I guess Tony just “came on over” to pick up Jessica as he was. Hahah. Sorry, couldn’t resist that. Anyways, doesn’t this guy need to be at training camp?

Jessica Simpson has come out (through her rep) and said there is no sex tape with her and ex-hubby Nick Lachey. One source said Jessica is “known for her clean-cut image” never made the video so the claims are entirely false.

I don’t know about the clean-cut image (anymore) but I do believe there’s no sex tape. Perhaps one of the cameramen got a little too close when they filmed Newlyweds, but that’s about it.

Still, the story of Jess’s sending sexy videos of herself to boyfriend Tony Romo is on the rumble again. This one first came out in April and now it’s all over the gossip mills again.

For those of you who haven’t heard, apparently Jessica uses a web cam to help her and Tony stay close when the two are apart. One source says, “Jess has no problem showing Tony her favourite ‘Pussycat Dolls’ routine, she will dance in front of her camera until she makes her man happy.”

Now, I can’t quite say I believe this. A picture or two via camera phone, perhaps. But a web cam video? I doubt she’d really do this for the simple reason that it’s so likely to get out and splashed all over the web.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo just don’t get photographed that often together. They really try and avoid it.

But they smiled pretty recently at the Olive Garden in Janesville, Wisconsin. They were having dinner with Tony’s parents (who live there.) Tony grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin. A Burlington boy!

Less you get too excited that Tony was there to get tell his parents he and Jessica were ready for the altar, let me assure you, he only had golf on his mind. He was there to play in a nearby competition.

Even though I personally think it might be in Jess’s interest to dump this Cowboy, she sure does look happy with him.
