Looks like Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have a wedding to go to! They’ll reportedly be at the nuptials of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt tomorrow. They are on the “confirmed” list of invitees so they must have got a babysitter for little Bronx. Make sense that they’d be invited - remember when Spencer was in Fall Out Boy’s video for “I Don’t Care“? Here it is:

About 200 celebs are expected to be there. Other people among the famous crowd expected to attend are Michael Bublé, Khloe Kardashian and Perez Hilton. The usual suspects! Let’s hope there are plenty of pictures!

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson have been spending in L.A. these days. Visiting their little nephew no doubt! Here Tony is pictured having lunch with “a friend.” He looks darn serious. Wonder what he’s talking about. How to pop the question to Jess perhaps?

We know Jessica Simpson is so totally completely in love with Tony Romo it’s nuts. (After all, she tells us all the time.) But ever since Ashlee had her baby, she’s supposedly been “desperate” to have one of her own, too. So much so that Jessica has had a talk about kids with Tony.

One source says, “Unlike Ashlee, Jessica doesn’t want to get pregnant and then get married. She’s a little more traditional, so she’d like to marry Tony first and then get pregnant, ideally on their honeymoon.”

Well… la dee dah. And I’d like a million dollars and a house with a white picket fence, too. Can I have that?

Jessica still seems to be ten years old when it comes to this marriage and babies thing. The same source says “Jessica is always hinting to Tony about having kids.”

I’ll bet. But hinting? That means something subtle. Jessica is probably more like telling him every single day.

Which makes the fact that the whole clan is getting together for the holidays that much more interesting.

CelebTV goes even farther and says Jessica and Tony are “actively trying to get pregnant.” Here’s a clip from them:

What’s a Jessica fan to believe? I have a feeling we’ll know by the New Year. Either she’ll be engaged or married or pregnant or broken up. Holidays always bring out the best (and worst) in people.

Rumors are sparking again that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are planning to get married. Reportedly they were ring shopping at Neiman Marcus in Dallas recently.

Would they really be shopping at Neiman Marcus? I picture Jess as more of a Tiffany’s girl. Perhaps Harry Winston.

Anywho, supposedly they are planning a winter wedding (cuz you know fans would rip Jess apart if she dared distract Tony during football season.)

We’ve heard this rumor before. Right before they supposedly broke up. So I’m cautious about getting too excited for her yet. I want to actually see the ring (and hear Tony SAY he wants to get married) because they’ve really been up and down with their relationship. Also remember how she said, “no comment” to whether her and Tony will be shacking up when she was on The View?

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz… I’m not sure how I’ll get used to that… anywho… Ashlee Simpson (let’s leave it at that, shall we?) may have postponed her tour because of the bun in the oven, but it doesn’t mean she isn’t promoting her latest album Bittersweet World in other ways.

While she was in London a few weeks back she talked about the album and Pete and her future career aspirations. She said Pete didn’t help out on the album at all, but he did pop in at the end of the night for a supportive listen. (So sweet.)

Ashlee also said she’d like to get back to acting. She says, “It’s something I’ve always loved to do. I’d like to do some acting and them make records. I’d loved to have played Alabama in True Romance. Or Wendy in Peter Pan.”

Will Ashlee compete with Jessica for film roles now? I can’t imagine that would be the case. After all, the two sisters have had such different styles in music, and so far they’ve been very different in the acting gigs they’ve chosen. Jessica has landed a couple big movies and Ashlee chose to act live on stage in London and also on TV.

As if impending fatherhood was not enough, Pete Wentz gets some more joy with two nominations for Teen Choice Awards.

Pete was nominated for the “Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Male” along with Chris Brown, Jonas Brothers, Shia LaBeouf, and Zac Efron.

I think Pete has a pretty good chance of winning this, don’t you? He’s also nominated with his group, Fall Out Boy, as “Choice Music: Rock Group” along with Boys Like Girls, Linkin Park, Paramore, and Simple Plan.

The ever popular Miley Cyrus will be the host of the 2008 awards, to be held on FOX on Monday, August 4th. Don’t forget to vote for Pete and Fall Out Boy at www.TeenChoiceAwards.com.

Did you guys happen to catch Pete Wentz’s FN MTV show Friday night? What did you think?

Personally, I love the idea of Pete helping MTV bring music videos back to the channel. I think videos add a special element when it comes to music. We are a visual society, so seeing the concepts behind songs or viewing our favorite artists act out a scene really helps sell the song.

I also liked some of the promos MTV ran for the show. They blend really well with Pete’s kooky sense of humor.

My favorite promo, tho, is with Heidi Montag and Pete Wentz, where Heidi ends up hitting her head and passes out. She awakens to realize she is in the middle of MTV, and sees artists from years passed along with their videos. When she awakes, Pete makes fun of himself:

Since Pete Wentz is going to be a dad soon, it only makes sense that he gets the partying thing out of his system. So to celebrate his 29th birthday, Ashlee arranged for a private party at the Foxtail nightclub. OK! reports that they arrived in a stretch limo around quarter to ten, and that Ashlee and Pete spend most of the time downstairs chatting with people and shaking hands. Which would be fine except their guests were all upstairs.

Eventually, though, they sat down with some pals and had an alcohol free night. Isn’t that sweet? We know Ashlee can’t drink because of the baby bump but Pete is obviously very supportive and decided not to get smashed even though it was his birthday.

Pete blew out candles at midnight (although reports say it took him a few times - what’s that about?) and then he and his lovely bride headed home. Sounds like a nice evening overall. Here are a few more snaps of them leaving the nightclub.

Have you checked out the People Mag with details on Ashlee Simpson and Pete’s Wedding? Well I did. (Of course!) Ashlee looked beautiful and even her dad “Papa Joe” looked a bit choked up. At one point Ashlee and Jessica posed together, and it was very interesting because Jessica is clearly putting her hand on Ashlee’s belly. Ashlee looks like she has a baby bump (in the wedding dress at least) so it was an interesting wedding picture because this was before Ashlee had announced her pregnancy.

Ashlee is quoted in People as saying, “Everyone was calling me Bridechilla because I was superchill. But before we went out, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have my butterflies now!’ And then we all started crying.”

They also had a photo booth for guests to pop in, which was a very cute idea. Their cake was a madhatter type deal with three flavors. It was clock and teapot shaped with red velvet, chocolate candy bar, and vanilla pound cake with raspberry filling.

For the wedding night, Pete planned a surprise for Ashlee that included a safari tent set up on the hill behind the Simpson estate. This was no ordinary tent, however, it had a chandelier, pillowcases with the couple’s initials, and ingredients for s’mores. Awww. That Pete is pretty romantic.

His wedding gift to Ashlee was a giant bumblebee made out of Legos. I kid you not. He hired this guy:

Nathan Sawaya (who is a Lego artist, apparently) to make the bee. It’s 26 inches by 47 inches by 36 inches and is made from about 18,000 Legos.

But why a bee?

According to Splash News:

“In Hindu myth, Kama, the god of love, has a bow and arrows, and the bow string is made up of bees. In the ancient Greek world the bee symbolized the soul because they migrated in swarms. And the Roman god of love, Cupid, is often pictured with bees or being stung.”

The artist said, “I made this bee for a boy who wanted to give his girl a special wedding gift. “They are a fun couple as evidenced by their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding.”

You can say that again.

There are also pictures of Jessica and Tony Romo, which are a bit over the top, making me think they were together for the sake of the wedding but are still working things out. They’re out on the dance floor, and Jessica is rubbing her butt against Tony’s crotch, and holding her mouth open like she’s a sex kitten. He, at least, looks more natural: a combination of giggly embarassment and nervousness.

The end of the article speculates about Ashlee’s pregnancy, which is funny because it’s obvious she is in at least one of the pictures. Still, it has a lot of great photos that I’m not able to show you, so be sure to check it out.

The whole “basement honeymoon” thing DID sound a little far fetched. On one hand, I could see it, but on the other?

Well, let’s just say that Pete Wentz admitted that he and Ashlee Simpson were honeymooning in the Caribbean. If you’ll remember, Pete called up Ryan Seacrest and told him he and Ash were in their basement with blow up palm trees just relaxing and enjoying the quiet.

We’re glad the newlywed’s got some peace and quiet for their honeymoon. Did Nick and Jess even have this? Or were they already on the set of their reality show?

No matter. Look how happy (and tan) Ashlee looks:
