So, we kinda figured this was coming, right? Ashlee Simpson-Wentz canceling her planned tour for Bittersweet World.

I mean, the girl can’t be jumping all over the place while on tour!

Wait… J-Lo did it. And she was pregnant with twins. Hmmm.

Still, I don’t blame Ashlee for wanting to focus on her family life right now.

And by the way, did you see the new name? Yep, Ashlee is taking Pete’s last name. One source quotes Ash as saying, “I think that’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man.”

It doesn’t surprise me that Ashlee is taking Pete’s name. When all is said and done, I think both her and Jess are traditional gals and they want a traditional (and somewhat old-fashioned) life.

What do you think? Should Ashlee have taken Pete’s name?

Jessica Simpson Opens Up in Esquire

Does it seem like Jessica Simpson has been “keeping to herself?”

No, it doesn’t to me, either. But that’s what she claims in her latest interview with Esquire Magazine (the one with the hideous shaving cover.) She’s says she’s been laying low and not revealing too much of herself.

But really, how much more can she reveal?

Well, one thing she shared was what the most romantic thing a guy has ever done for her was and she said that “someone she was dating wrote a song for her.”

Hmmm. Who could it be?

Tony Romo? Probably not. He looks like he eats, breathes, and talks football. (Except when he’s in Cabo, of course.)

Nick Lachey, perhaps? Hollyscoop seems to think no, but I say it’s a possibility.

The source says it’s John Mayer. I can totally see John writing a song to impress one of his girlfriends.Which song could he have written about her? It doesn’t seem like they had too great of a break up, so maybe the song wasn’t all that romantic after all!

Put two music artists together in a relationship and you’re bound to wonder if they’re going to do a duet. After all, the newly maybe married Beyonce and JayZ have done it:

So have Faith Hill and Tim McGraw:

and even Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have done it:

But not Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz.

Ashlee told the folks at MTV that while Pete is supportive and understanding of her music career, he’s not going to be featured on any of her records, adding “I’m never going to be recording ‘Married Couple Lullabies’ or something like that. I doubt it.”

We’re glad to hear it. I personally think it’s great when couples collaborate if it makes sense, but it’s also nice to know Ashlee intends on keeping her career her own even after she’s an old married lady.
