It’s a boy for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz!!

According to People, they named their son: Bronx Mowgli Wentz.

The little lad weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Everyone is happy and healthy!

In Touch confirms that Ashlee Simpson is in labor RIGHT NOW!

She’s at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

It’s the question everyone is talking about today….

WHEN IS THE BABY COMING!!!!

If you think you’re in the dark, don’t feel bad. Pete Wentz’s bandmates feel the same way. Supposedly they know as much as we do. Pete stayed at home yesterday rather than attend the TRL finale with Fall Out Boy. When asked where Pete was (as if we didn’t know), Patrick Stump said, “Pete is at home with his wife, they’re just getting ready for the baby.”

Apparently Fall Out Boy is very supportive of Pete taking some family time. Patrick says, “It was a collective decision, because Pete is the type of guy who would do anything for this band, but the band is the type of band that would do anything for him. And it was one of those things where we decided that, for Ashlee’s sake, he needs to be there right now, no matter what happens.” ~source

Awww….. sounds like Pete found himself the right band members as well as the right wife, no?

Jessica Simpson did a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday and said that Ashlee may have to induce labor.

According to People, Jessica said Ashlee was trying, “different foot massages and stuff,” and that she was basically trying everything. Like bowling perhaps? haha - We did see her bowling recently.

So what I have to wonder is if Ashlee was really due at Halloween, as they originally said. If so, she would be about two weeks late and I can totally see her trying to do different things to induce labor. But if she’s really due at Thanksgiving, she supposedly has another week.

As it stands right now, I have no real reports that she’s had the baby yet. So again, we wait….. we wait…….

As I write this.. no baby yet. Although there was a rumor that Ashlee Simpson had gone into labor yesterday because Pete Wentz canceled an appearance on Larry King.

Here’s the thing… I’ve been taken in by Pete’s antics before! haha. Too many times. The basement honeymoon, the eyeliner thing…. so I’m done speculating. Although as soon as I hear anything (from a reputable source) you know I’m here for ya.

Fingers crossed…. it could be soon guys!

That man with the unfortunately pose in this picture is loading loading presents into the car from Ashlee Simpson’s baby shower on Saturday. Apparently the affair was “Winne the Pooh themed” and included guests such as Nicole Richie, Emmy Rossum, Cheryl Hines and Cacee Cobb. (Splashnews says Nicole brought her baby Harlow to the event as well.)

And of course Tina (Ashlee’s mom) and big sister Jessica was there! (It wasn’t until later that Jess went out to dinner and Ken Paves’ nose got crunched.)

One source says Ashlee was “glowing and insanely happy.”

I can imagine!

Pete Wentz also showed up later to help haul the gifts away. So you know they a lot of great stuff. What kind of stuff? How about “gift bags from Kitson Kids and a mini snowboard outfit with matching gear.”

Let’s talk food for a minute here, too. Ashlee and Pete are known to have great, down to earth fixings when it comes to grub, and the baby shower was no exception. People says they dined on “chicken and mashed potatoes.” Yet another site says there were, “crabcakes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, jicama salad with grapefruit and a bumble bee-shaped cake.”

I can’t help but wonder what the temperature was at the shower. Did you hear how Ashlee is super hot all the time now? Pete told one source, “Our room temperature is set to like, 34 degrees. It’s insane!”

Yeah, this wasn’t your average baby shower! Sounds like a blast, though, that’s for sure.

Just another update folks….. it’s daylight savings time today (my favorite day of the year) and I’m up digging for any kind of news on Ashlee’s baby. Nothing yet. I’m on it though. Rest assured if she delivers I’ll have it here!

Until then, I came across this interesting fan video of Ashlee on YouTube this morning. It starts out with Jessica and Ashlee’s Ice Breakers commercial, and in the background is Avril Lavigne singing Imagine by John Lennon. Then it transitions to Ashlee singing Pieces of Me, and includes photos of Ash, then it goes to the Boyfriend video. Quite a quirky little collection! I enjoyed it tho, see if you do, too.

Well maybe Ashlee Simpson IS going to deliver “sometime around Thanksgiving” as Pete Wentz said. After all, friends and family are giving her a quickie baby shower in L.A. today. (And would they throw a shower on the day AFTER she was first expected to deliver? I don’t think so.)

Apparently there will be about “30-35 guests, and the theme is Winnie the Pooh.” Bee and honeypot decorations will complete the party look. Man, Ashlee is loving that bee thing these days, isn’t she? Remember how Pete gave her the Lego bee for her wedding present?

Well this is the day we’ve been waiting for, isn’t it?

Ashlee Simpson (according to a rumor or two) is expected to give birth today. Pete Wentz has said in the past that Ashlee will deliver on Halloween (today.) Then again, he also said he could be “around Thanksgiving.”

Anyways, we watch and wait. Pete did go on the Ryan Seacrest show today and said, “I am on call permanently right now. She’s at the very end, and it could happen at any point.”

Pete also acknowledged that Ashlee is really ready to deliver emotionally, too. He said it’s been difficult for her to get around while out in public.

Boy, we’ve sure seen evidence of that these days, haven’t we? The poor girl just gets mobbed with paparazzi the minute she leaves her house!

As far as names, Pete says that he and Ash want to meet the baby first. He says, “you’ve gotta have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he’ll get work either way.”
