Jessica Simpson was out promoting her new fragrance “Fancy” at Macy’s again over the weekend. This time she made an appearance at the Costa Mesa, California location.

Deidre Behar in Costa Mesa sat down with Jessica and asked her a few questions. Jess talks about setting up the Christmas tree for Tony, her involvement with the marketing of her products, and the difference between Fancy and the dessert line. Check out the interview:

One photog said they only got five minutes to shoot pictures of her. Looks like they had enough time - Jess is a pro at posing.

Then, the Home Shopping Segment. Check out the blonde on the left who keeps mugging for the camera. She keeps winking and smiling, and everytime she knows the camera is on her she really perks up.

Remember that Stampede Light ad Jessica Simpson did?

Well one news anchor just burst into laughter upon announcing the story. I’m not sure if she was laughing at the thought Jessica making a business deal, doing a beer commercial, or just the thought of a light beer (with vitamins) but she really cracks up.

It’s pretty funny. Check it out:

I don’t know if this rumor is true or just mixed up with the vitamin beer deal, but one source says Michael Lohan (Lindsay’s infamous dad) is trying to get Jessica Simpson to endorse Vitamin Water.

Now, there’s a lot of things about this deal that seem off. First, Jessica just signed on to do the vitamin beer ad, so perhaps whoever reported this got it mixed up.

Most importantly, however, WHY would Michael Lohan be pitching JESSICA as opposed to say…. his daughter? Either one of them?

Third, there’s no mention of “Papa Joe” who we all know by now has his nose in everything Jessica does.

I remember watching Newlywed’s, and on one particular episode the topic of conversation was turned to that of Elle Macpherson. If I recall correctly, Jessica Simpson was just about to pose for “elle” magazine and somehow the talk got switched to “Elle Macpherson.” (Which seems very mixed up but then this was Jessica at her crazy blonde best.)

Papa Joe, Jess, and Nick Lachey were all sitting around a coffee table, and Jess was saying that her father (stage dad extraordinaire) once commented on how perfect Elle Macpherson’s butt was. He did this, of course, while he was still a pastor in church. It was a funny moment at the time, and I wonder if we looked back then if we could tell that one day Jess would rival Elle Macpherson, not in the model department but over the making of underwear.

One source says Jessica’s latest line of panties and bras will be called “Jessica Simpson Intimates.”

Why is this a big deal? This particular source says that Elle “The Body” Macpherson “has built the Elle Macpherson Intimates range into one of the most successful and enduring celebrity fashion lines” and that Jessica jumping on in there and calling her line Intimates as well “is expected to come as an unwanted shock for The Body.”

At first this sounded like absolutely hogwash to me, but then the story went on to say that Elle had fought Heidi Klum over trying to use the name “The Body” for a Victoria’s Secret photo.

Oh those crazy supermodels!

No word on what Jess plans to do next.
