She’s at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

No baby yet from Ashlee Simpson. But there are some recent photos of her over at X17. Apparently she went bowling this weekend with Pete.

Bowling?

Who knows, maybe bowling is supposed to bring pregnancy on.

Papa Joe Simpson was out on Thursday, and he couldn’t help himself from talking about daughter Ashlee and the new baby about to enter their lives. He joked that he was too young to be a grand-dad and then gave the ultimate Simpson parenting advice, “Hold on for deal life! Because it’s a ride.”

You got that right. If Ashlee’s baby is anything like Jessica or her, she’ll be in for fun times! Music business! Boyfriends! Lip synching!

Aw… but on the other hand there you’ve got two talented kids who are unlike anyone else. I doubt Joe’s complaining.

It’s been a while since we heard from Joe Simpson, hasn’t it? He was pretty vocal about Jessica dating Tony Romo, but we really haven’t heard a word about what he thinks about Ashlee and her soon-to-be-quest into motherhood.

Until now.

So… do you think he said he was excited at the prospect of becoming a grandpa? Or that he was so very proud of both his daughters?

Uh… no.

Instead he said that the day Ashlee “found out she was pregnant, she became a woman.”

Okay, Joe. At least he didn’t comment on her bra size.

That man with the unfortunately pose in this picture is loading loading presents into the car from Ashlee Simpson’s baby shower on Saturday. Apparently the affair was “Winne the Pooh themed” and included guests such as Nicole Richie, Emmy Rossum, Cheryl Hines and Cacee Cobb. (Splashnews says Nicole brought her baby Harlow to the event as well.)

And of course Tina (Ashlee’s mom) and big sister Jessica was there! (It wasn’t until later that Jess went out to dinner and Ken Paves’ nose got crunched.)

One source says Ashlee was “glowing and insanely happy.”

I can imagine!

Pete Wentz also showed up later to help haul the gifts away. So you know they a lot of great stuff. What kind of stuff? How about “gift bags from Kitson Kids and a mini snowboard outfit with matching gear.”

Let’s talk food for a minute here, too. Ashlee and Pete are known to have great, down to earth fixings when it comes to grub, and the baby shower was no exception. People says they dined on “chicken and mashed potatoes.” Yet another site says there were, “crabcakes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, jicama salad with grapefruit and a bumble bee-shaped cake.”

I can’t help but wonder what the temperature was at the shower. Did you hear how Ashlee is super hot all the time now? Pete told one source, “Our room temperature is set to like, 34 degrees. It’s insane!”

Yeah, this wasn’t your average baby shower! Sounds like a blast, though, that’s for sure.

Ashlee Simpson celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday with hubby Pete Wentz. What’s the best way to ring in your 24th birthday? (Besides having a baby, that is!) Seeing the musical Wicked. (Of course.) And that’s just what Ashlee and Pete did. Here are a couple great shots of them leaving the Pantages Theater.

I’m wondering why they didn’t go to see Wicked while they were in Chicago recently?

Anywho, is it just me or does Ashlee not look very happy? Perhaps she’s bummed that everywhere her and Pete go they are swarmed with paps. Still, she’s got a great hubby and is expecting a new little bundle (besides never looking better) so I think she is content to be exactly where she is in her life right now.

One site reports that Ashlee Simpson is a very popular pregnant celebrity these days. Parents says Ashlee is the second favorite pregnant celeb in a new poll.

Hey, I admire her too but what the heck does it take to be a “favorite pregnant celeb”? Perhaps it’s how cute you look:

Perhaps it’s how much you refuse to admit you’re pregnant in the first place?

Or maybe it’s the ability to wear a scarf with skulls on it and still look stylish?

Who knows. But we definitely agree, Ashlee is our favorite pregnant celeb as well!

Ashlee Simpson was at Zellers this past weekend, and gave a short interview where she talked about her pregnancy. When asked about the upcoming birth of her baby, she said her and her husband, Pete Wentz, are very excited to be parents.

“I can’t wait to be a mom and he can’t wait to be a dad, so it’s fun. I have the greatest husband.”

She also said they hadn’t picked out a name yet, and that she was getting lots of advice from her mom and grandmother. She also said she knew her own mothering skills would kick in once the baby was born. I have to say I agree.

Take this with some big ole Texas-sized grains of salt, folks, but a couple sources around the Internet (like this one) are claiming that Jessica Simpson might be pregnant.

I don’t believe this for a second, but hey - I aim to please those that want to know.

The source says, “Nick Lachey’s ex-wife appeared to have larger breasts and arms than usual with a slight bump on her tummy, which she was trying to hide with a grey jumper.”

More like, Jess ate a big meal and her belly stuck out a little.

Honestly, people, one unflattering outfit and we’re ready to declare her with child?
