Video: Jessica Simpson’s Best Hits
March 6, 2009 by Cherie
Caught this awesome fan video of Jessica Simpson on YouTube and thought you’d all enjoy. It has snippets of Jessica’s best songs (at least in the fan’s opinion anyway) along with some beautiful pictures of her.
These songs really highlight her voice. What do you think?
John Mayer to Get a Variety Show
Jessica Simpson’s ex-honey (John Mayer) is reportedly getting a new variety show with CBS. The show will have skits and music.
Wonder if it will be anything like the Nick and Jessica Variety Hour?
I think John is a very charming and funny guy, so I can definitely see him pulling off the hosting duties of a variety show. You think he’ll have Jess on as a guest?
Yeah, me neither. Although that would make for some excellent ratings.

Buy Fall Out Boy’s New Album, Get a Pete Wentz Tee
December 7, 2008 by Cherie
This is a pretty cool deal. According to one site, “The Wet Seal Inc. has launched a promotion with the band Fall Out Boy where the band’s new release will be bundled with a tee from band member Pete Wentz’s Clandestine label.”
A Fall Out Boy album AND a Pete Wentz tee? I’m in!
Apparently Wet Seal will also run a contest where fans can compete to be in the next Fall Out Boy video. Check out the Wet Seal website for more info.
Video: Ashlee Simpson Clips
November 29, 2008 by Cherie
This is an awesome video that our dedicated reader Georgia sent in. It’s a combo of clips that look like they came from the old Ashlee show. We get to see both Ashlee and Jess as little girls (so very cute), then Ashlee as she is about to shoot her first video, then the “buffalo wings” commercial Ash and Jess did, and even that crazy Christmas duet they did on Jessica & Nick’s Christmas special.
It’s a great video featuring Ashlee. Enjoy! (And thanks again Georgia
Video: Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey with Music by James Blunt
November 26, 2008 by Cherie
Thanks to our loyal reader Michele for sending me the link of this great video.
I know Jessica is happy with Tony Romo these days, but it was a very magical time when she and Nick Lachey were together.
Michele said, “Sad video of what could had been and I believe Nick will always be her first love. First Love does not always last.”
Very true. The music by James Blunt makes this one especially bittersweet.
Enjoy this video.

Jessica Simpson’s Heart of Innocence
October 24, 2008 by Cherie
Ever wonder what Jessica Simpson’s first interview was like? Just Jared has an excerpt here from an interview Jess gave in 1999. She talked about how she knew she wanted to be a singer, and also about her first album.
One of the songs she discusses is “Heart of Innocence.” She says:
“And it’s about me saving myself for my husband. And it has a really cool story behind it. I hadn’t had a boyfriend in like a year and I was writing in my journal—’cuz I write in my journal all the time—and I was upset and I was praying and I was like, ‘God, I really need you to be my companion right now.’ I fell asleep when I was writing in my prayer journal and then I woke up in the middle of the night and God was like, ‘Write a letter to your husband,’ and I was like, ‘I’m not gonna write a letter to my husband!’ And I did, and that’s the song, that’s ‘Heart of Innocence.’”
In case you’ve never heard of the song, I found a copy on YouTube that someone put to a montage of Orlando Bloom.

Videos: Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz
October 20, 2008 by Cherie
We haven’t seen much of Ashlee Simpson lately, what with her expecting a new baby in a week (or month, depending on which report you believe.) But I couldn’t help posting a few tribute videos of her and Pete Wentz today. They really do inspire us when it comes to love, don’t they?
The first one is full of Ashlee pictures. Enjoy.
We get a fair amount of Pete Wentz fans that visit this blog. Some congratulate Ashlee and Pete, and some leave messages that Ashlee shouldn’t be with Pete. I see the attraction, Pete is a really handsome guy. Here’s a tribute with music by Fall Out Boy:
Finally, the moment we’ve waited for: Ashlee and Pete together. Here they are, with music by Fall Out Boy and Ashlee’s “Shadow.”
Flashback: Ashlee Simpson Sings “Boyfriend” Live on Tops of the Pops
October 16, 2008 by Cherie
Ah… memories. I don’t know about you but I love digging through old clips as much as I enjoy writing about the newsworthy stuff. I like to see how artists have changed, and Ashlee Simpson is always a treat because she changes her look, and she’s really grown up before our very eyes.
When I see this clip, it makes me think of the cute and girly Ashlee who was dating and dealing with Hollywood drama queens. Fast forward to today when she’s married, happy, and about to become a mom. But it’s fun to look back! Here she was at a “Tops of the Pops” performance singing “Boyfriend.” (I love her super blonde hair here.)
