Carrie Underwood “Feels Bad” for Jessica Simpson
November 6, 2008 by Cherie
So get this: Carrie Underwood has given another magazine interview, this time for Elle, where she talks once again about Tony Romo.
Does that girl know the meaning of the word “no comment”? Is it just me or is always trying to stir up trouble with our Jessica?
E! says Carrie confided that she hasn’t talked to Tony “since, like, May” and that her comment about him calling was “just something that was said in passing.” Then she claimed that she would never - OH NEVER - “say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything because I’m just not about drama – at all.”
Oh no, Carrie, not at all. We can totally see that…. NOT!
If she’s not about drama, then why go on and on about your ex-boyfriend anyways? And saying she talked to him in May is still saying he called her. Jessica claims she has no hard feelings for Carrie, but wouldn’t it irritate you a little bit if your boyfriend’s former girlfriend just kept talking about him publicly?
The interview with Elle will be in the December issue, btw. Ya’ll make sure you go and read it now, ya hear?
Video: Jessica Simpson on Extra
July 16, 2008 by Cherie
Jessica Simpson was on Extra the other night talking about the video for “Come on Over.” She was very cute and funny! She looked great in a blue dress and was very down to earth about how her country album came about.
She said she spent three weeks working in Nashville, which might not seem like a lot to write an entire album but that’s how those country folks do it. They usually assign you a couple songwriters to work with, and you just sit there and intensively write. So it’s not unusual that Jess did it that way, in fact I’d say it’s probably a good sign.
Jessica did joke that the three week writing thing was hard to do, “especially with all the people I’ve dated,” referring of course to writing personal songs about some of her break ups. Enjoy the clip:
Jessica Simpson Moving to Nashville?
March 28, 2008 by Cherie
Did Jessica Simpson just buy a home in Nashville for $3.47 million?
That’s what one source is saying. The actual identity of the buyer is being kept hidden, but rumors seem to point to Jess.
There’s always been speculation of Jessica turning to country music. She’s a big fan of many country music artists, specially Dolly Parton. She certainly likes the Dallas Cowboys (or at least their quarterback, Tony Romo.) She plays up her southern twang when it suits. And let’s face it, her pop music career is kaput.
If she is looking to record a country music record, she’ll need to tone down her videos a bit. Sure, country music likes glitz and glamour but not out and out flauting your bod everywhere. But maybe Jess has realized that’s never gotten her very far anyways.
