Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took Bronx Mowgli out to the L.A. Zoo last week, and of course they were followed by photographers at every step. Not sure how much Bronx really enjoyed the zoo (he’s so little) but he did look awfully cute! Pete and Ashlee looked like they enjoyed themselves as well.

Pete Wentz has been very honest about his struggles with mental health, and The Jed Foundation recognized that last week at their 8th annual gala. The event was held at Guastavino’s in New York.

One source described the event as:

Hosted by former Dateline NBC anchor Stone Phillips, the event awarded Voice of Mental Health accolades to Peter Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Sheila Nevins of HBO. It also featured musical performances from Kristy Cates of the musical Wicked! and The Bacon Brothers, the duo that is comprised of Kevin Bacon and his brother.

The Jed Foundation works to reduce suicides, especially with college students. I think Pete’s involvement in this effort is great, don’t you? More pictures of the event after the jump.

Break up rumors? Ha! Not if you hear this story. Ashlee Simpson gave Pete Wentz a very special birthday present for his big 30th. He says, “My wife gave me a pretty creative video, then she gave me the camera she made the video with which was cool.”

How sweet!

Pete also talked about doing another guest spot (since his CSI:NY thing with Ashlee was a blast) and he said he’d definitely like to do it again. One of his favorite shows? The Office! I can definitely see him on that show giving Dwight a hard time, can’t you?

Rumors are flying about Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz these days. Well really, aren’t there always rumors that rarely come to fruition? Still, these are recent and say that Ashlee and Pete have been fighting a lot these days and that there is even talk of Ashlee leaving Pete.

They say, “Ashlee is having major problems with Pete right now. They fight constantly. She is seriously considering leaving him. They have been arguing a lot recently. They’re in different places (in their lives).”

I’m not sure they are in different places in their lives. I mean, they are new parents and that’s always really hard. Sure, Ashlee’s recent episode of drinking and yelling insults at Michelle Trachtenberg doesn’t help things, but I do think they love each other.

Finally got some of the pictures from Ashlee Simpson’s night out in Vegas for Pete Wentz‘ 30th birthday. If you’ll remember, this was the unfortunate night that a photog said something to Pete that just didn’t agree with him, and Pete spit on him. Could the photog have mentioned the whole incident with Michelle Trachtenberg?

Whatever it was, it definitely set Pete off. He spat on him, went to the bathroom to collect his cool, then went out on the dance floor, leaving Ashlee at the table. Rumors said Ashlee was definitely upset. And this was supposed to be a fun night! At least the cake was very cool. It had a picture of Ashlee and Bronx in the center of the “0″.

I tell ya, that Bronx Mowgli Wentz is one cute baby! I’m trying to decide who he looks more like, Ashlee Simpson or Pete Wentz? Any thoughts? Sometimes I see Ashlee’s eyes while other times he really looks like Pete. I guess that’s how it goes with babies.

Here are some very cool pictures of Ashlee and Pete at an Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation event earlier in the week. Rumor Willis (who posed with Pete in those OP ads last summer) was also there and hung out with the Wentz family.

It should have been a happy occasion! After all, Pete Wentz celebrated his 30th birthday party over the weekend with his wife Ashlee Simpson. The two were in Vegas at the Bank nightclub inside the Bellagio Resort and Casino. But somewhere during the night, one of the photogs said something that caused Pete to get up and spit at the guy. More than that, he left the table where a “visibly upset” Ashlee was still sitting.
