It was bound to happen.

A new list has come out with the most quirkiest celebrity baby names in 2008. (Do you like how they say “quirky” and not “stupid” or “ridiculous”? Me too.)

Of COURSE Bronx Mowgli Wentz is at the top of the list! But that’s only because he’s the most recent. And this year, there were some WHOPPERS on the ridiculous meter. I mean, Bronx is still a cool name. Mowgli? I’m not so sure about that one but anything Ashlee and Pete want to do is cool with me because they are just so darn cute.

The list makes some fun of Bronx’s name, by saying, “He grew up near Chicago and she hails from Texas—yet, inexplicably, the rock-star couple named their son after one of the toughest boroughs in New York City.”

You can’t argue with that logic.

I’m also not a fan of Jessica Alba’s choice of Honor Marie. But even that is better than what Gwen Stefani named her kid. When I see the name ZUMA NESTA ROCK, Bronx looks like a downright logical choice. I think Gwen Stefani might have chosen the name too soon after birth. Maybe the pregnancy hormones made her crazy.

No baby yet from Ashlee Simpson. But there are some recent photos of her over at X17. Apparently she went bowling this weekend with Pete.

Bowling?

Who knows, maybe bowling is supposed to bring pregnancy on.

Jessica Simpson talked some more about Tony Romo and having babies recently. While she denied they are engaged, she did say that the two have never been closer. “He’s everything I could dream of and I really love him. I’m proud to be his girlfriend,” she said.

She also said she’d like a bunch of kids running around (six, to be exact) and then in typical Jess mode said she’d probably “have to start soon” in order for that to happen. (But no pressure, Tony!)

Ashlee Simpson left La Scala yesterday through the backdoor, but photographers still managed to catch up with her.

Again, I’m amazed at how great she looks. She seems to have gained baby weight only in her bump and nowhere else! I love the top and necklace she has on here.

I’ve no doubt Ashlee Simpson will look very cute as her baby bump gets bigger, although I can’t say I love this look she sported at the Palms Place Hotel and Spa Grand Opening in Vegas this past Saturday. The earrings, the hair, the too-redish pink lipstick… and those shoes! Sheesh.

The gobs of makeup she has on takes away from her pretty face. And I don’t know WHAT she was thinking with that hair. Jessica’s BFF Ken Paves must not have been around because I can’t imagine he’d let Ashlee out on the street like that!

I don’t love the shoes with this getup either. Maybe on another outfit, but it doesn’t work with this dress.

On the plus side, the dress is very cute and her and Pete look so happy. And happiness is the best fashion accessory, right?

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz hit the red carpet at the Bravo Supershow this past weekend in Germany.

Fans were very happy to see her and Pete, and Ashlee was kind enough to stop and sign autographs. Take a quick look at their arrival:

I swear Ashlee is fast becoming the queen of the reappearing baby bump. On some photos she definitely looks pregnant, like here for example:

I definitely see a little bump. Ashlee normally has a very flat stomach, and this looks obvious to me. During other pictures, it’s not as clear.

Have you heard the latest?

Some reports are claiming that Papa Joe Simpson is “shopping” a Newlywed’s type of show featuring Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz.

Has that man learned nothing? Part of what broke up his other daughter’s marriage was that darn Newlywed’s show. And hey, it WAS a cute show. But as somsone that knows what it’s like to be a newlywed…. you don’t want cameras following you around when you’ve just gotten married!

There’s no doubt that reality TV can boost your career. I mean, really, look at how Ashlee got started. She had that reality show that followed Newlywed’s and we got to see her be herself and we fell in love with her. But, now that she’s engaged, I cringe at the thought of her doing a series like her sister Jessica. I’d like for both the Simpson girls to have their own lives and be happy and in love without the influence of their father.

Is it even possible?

Here’s Ashlee Simpson singing “live” on Dancing with the Stars the other night. But it sure looks like she’s lip synching to me. What do you think?

Here’s Ashlee Simpson’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel the other night. She sang “Boys” which I think is a better record to promote Bittersweet World. It’s more upbeat and Ash looks like she’s having a great time singing it.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz went out to dinner with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden the other night. Wouldn’t THAT have been a fun night!

Wonder what they talked about? Raising, kids, perhaps? After all, Nicole and Joel just had their baby and now Ash is rumored to be sporting a Fall Out Baby herself.

They were careful not to be photographed together (darn!) but we do have photos of Pete and Ashlee. Ashlee looks very rested and elegant in black while Pete has one of his famous hoodies on. It’s also nice to see Ashlee leading Pete this time! (Although we think it’s sweet when he’s out front as well.)
