Jessica Simpson gave Tony Romo a very expensive birthday present last month: a $100,000 speedboat!

She apparently gave it to him at their home last month for his 28th birthday party. Tony loved it (natch) but you know… the rumor that perhaps Jessica is trying too hard to buy Tony’s love was definitely brought up.

One source says, “(She’s) hoping that her birthday gift will lead to marriage, and by this time next year she’ll be walking down the aisle with him.”

I’m very surprised they aren’t married yet, or at least engaged. However, I don’t think buying Tony an expensive gift to try and get him to marry her is going to work, either. Do you?

Tony Romo, for the last several years, has tried to make it into the U.S Open. He’s a good golfer, to be sure, but he hasn’t made it. It shouldn’t be a surprise that he hasn’t made it this year, either. However, I found one source that thinks he shouldn’t even be trying out.

They say he’s getting paid millions to quarterback the Dallas Cowboys. His focus should be on that. Not on golf, Jessica, or Cabo. Some of the dates of the U.S. Open would actually interfere with the Cowboys practice schedule, so why even bother trying then? Focus on what you’re getting paid to do.

I have to agree with this. Especially because it seems that Tony hasn’t been able to focus enough when it comes to post-season play. I can’t fault a guy for wanting to try new things, but given the short amount of time most players are in the NFL, couldn’t the golf wait until he’s done?

Jessica Simpson is on another magazine cover, this time for the June 2009 issue of Vanity Fair. Both her and Tony Romo open up about their relationship (he says she’s a supportive girlfriend), about her faith, and about singing.

Jessica has said she is trying to actively ignore the critics, especially the people that say she shouldn’t sing at all.

I think it’s very interesting that Tony is involved in this interview, because until now he has been very close-mouthed about his relationship with Jessica. She’s been the vocal one, which gives you the impression that she loves him but he doesn’t quite feel the same way. This could be a turning point, where he is more comfortable talking about things. Maybe it even means the two will get more serious in the near future.

Jessica Simpson is still sporting that braided do (which I’m not a fan of, how about you?). She looked happy with the two favorite things in her life: Tony Romo and her dog Daisy. The two looked to be having a good time. So much for the breakup rumors!

We seem to hear this rumor all the time about Tony and Jess. Recently it’s surfaced again because Tony has decided to play golf on his birthday rather than spent it with Jessica. In addition, she’s not at the tournament yet to watch him either.

But that’s not all. The real scathing piece of gossip is that Jessica parties too hard, and Tony refuses to deal with it. Jess keeps hounding him to get married, but Tony doesn’t want to because of her boozing. Since her career is in the klinker, she’s hitting the booze and partying.

The Dallas Cowboys have posted their schedule for the 2009 season. This is a good time to see if the team is coming to your area.

And hey, you never know, you might get to see Jessica Simpson at one of his games, too. Although she usually only attends the home games. Since she’s been getting flack for “jinxing” Tony, maybe she’ll try something new and tour with the team. Never know. (She did, after all, go from wearing the pink jerseys to the blue. Anything’s possible.)

I see that Dallas is playing my favorite Green Bay on Sunday, November 15th. So I’ll be watching for him then! (Something tells me that Jessica doesn’t want to travel to Wisconsin in November. What do you think?)

I don’t know where Jessica Simpson was on Friday, but apparently Tony Romo was not only out without her, but at a concert to boot!

Of course, I’m not sure she would have wanted to go with him anyways. The concert was for some Dallas Cowboy teammates of Tony’s who are in a band called Free Reign. They played at the Granada Theather.

Does Jessica Simpson’s dad, Joe, want Tony Romo out of her life?

I can’t imagine it. And he sure as heck denies it. But at the same time Joe HAS to feel like Jessica is distracted since she’s messing up lyrics and being (more) ditzy in her shows.

One source says, “Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jess wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.”

After all the hub-bub Jessica has made about wanting a country music career, Joe has got to feel a bit fed up that she doesn’t seem to be giving it her all as of late. Maybe she’s just tired. Maybe she just wants to get married and have babies.

When are people going to finally realize that when Tony Romo plays like crap (which is pretty often) that it has nothing to do with Jessica Simpson. Tony is in charge of his own life. Tony is a big boy and should be able to play without a little thing like having his girlfriend around bother him. If it does, then he isn’t truly a professional.

First Terrell Owens started badmouthing Jess and now Cowboys CB Terence Newman has spoken out. He said that the media attention Jess and Tony always seem to have is “something that definitely hurt and took away from Tony Romo being a great quarterback.”

My vote is that Tony Romo has prevented Tony Romo from being a great quarterback. What do you think?

In case we had a doubt about how Jessica Simpson feels about Tony Romo, she made sure she reminded us at herValentine’s Day concert. Tony was in the audience, and Jess told him she loved him several times during the show.

She told the crowd about the song “You’re My Sunday” which she wrote for Tony. She said, “Somebody came into my life and made me see myself in the best mirror possible, so I wrote this song for her.”

Oooops! Jess caught herself and then said, “Sorry, baby. This song’s for you.”
