Tony Romo, Mr. Buzzworthy
Wow - it seems like I’m not the only one who thinks Tony Romo is one of the most overrated quarterbacks of all time. Columnist Colin Wilson thinks so too. He just wrote an article on how Tony is more of a celebrity than a football player. Wilson writes, “New York Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning won a Super Bowl last season, and you rarely hear a peep about the guy.”
So why is Tony so “buzzworthy”? He’s known for the women he dates, for being cute, and for bragging about himself. But he’s yet to prove himself on the field. Oh sure, he had a good season. And his team is good, but HE’s not doing anything extraordinary out on the field to lead his team. But he blew it in the playoffs. As Wilson writes, “For some reason, a professional athlete couldn’t play well in front of his smoking hot, pop star girlfriend.”
And to think fans are blaming Jessica! The blame should be on Mr. Quarterback himself. Yet Tony keeps drawing headlines and getting credit, which seems empty when you compare it to his actual accomplishments. Wilson writes, “Tony Romo, the guy who hasn’t yet won a playoff game, will draw more headlines for going to Hibachi with a pop singer than Eli Manning did for winning a Super Bowl.”
Uh… that’s a country singer now, Mr. Wilson! Still, this guy’s article is spot on. Bottom line? Jess is too good for this guy, and should dump him before she gets her heart broken again.
