Undiscovered

Did you guys see the movie Undiscovered?

Yeah, not many people did. It came out in 2005 and is about “a group of aspiring entertainers try to establish careers for themselves in the city of Los Angeles.” ~source The group is “undiscovered,” hence the title.

It’s rather a bad film, but I think Ashlee Simpson stands out very well. She shows that she’s way ahead of Jessica in the acting department. Unfortunately, most of America didn’t seem to agree with me. Ashlee got nominated for a Razzie Award in 2006 for the “worst supporting actress.”

Anyway, one good thing that came out of the film is this song, “Smart In A Stupid Way.” I love the way her voice sounds in this duet, and think her performance is very real. Check out this video:

    I may be one of the few people who liked the movie. It wasn’t the best thing ever, but it wasn’t that horrible. :)

    I don’t really think she had that many scenes to be honest. I wish she had had more.

    MK: You’re right - she didn’t have that many. Maybe that’s way she stood out to me?

    I remember that I hadn’t seen her much up until then but I thought she had a promising future as an actress.

    I wish I had seen her in Chicago. But London was a bit of a drive…. ;)

    MK: Oh, no kidding. I’ve heard really good things about her performance in that. I would have loved to see it. Maybe if she does it again …. sigh….
