What Does the Draft Mean for Jessica & Tony’s Relationship?

With the latest NFL draft, I couldn’t help wondering if Tony Romo’s behavior last year affected the picks that Dallas would make. Specifically, I wondered if Dallas would give Tony more receiving power to help balance out any “off” days he happens to have if he’s still dating Jessica Simpson.

And let’s face it, it’s not Jessica’s fault Tony’s team lost in the playoffs, but she was (and is) a distraction. Jessica needs constant attention. That was one rumor behind her break up with John Mayer, was that she was so needy. So far, Tony seems to enjoy the attention that Jess gives and also needs. But will it continue into football season?

One source sums up the draft and mentions that Dallas didn’t draft a new receiver. That would imply that they have confidence that Tony will be able to reproduce his terrific year. Last year he “set the club single-season club record with 36 passing touchdowns” and “set the club single-season record for passing yards (4,211).”

But records really don’t mean that much if you don’t get back to the big game. Could Dallas have beaten the Giants if Jessica hadn’t lured him down to Cabo right before the playoffs? She’s obviously not a football fan, or she would have encouraged Tony to concentrate on football. Will she pull another stunt like the Cabo trip this year? Will he follow?
